Hello my name is Debra "Debra G" Gonzales. I've lived in Abilene 8 years. I'm originally from a small town in the Panhandle called Plainview. I have never been in radio before, however, I do believe radio is my "calling". Where else can i get paid for doing something that comes naturally to me, " Talking". Music is a big part of my life. I've been around Tejano music all my life. I remember as a child listening to Little Joe y La Familia on Sundays while eating breakfast at the "Tenampa Cafe". Or listening to 8 tracks in my dads Mustang. No matter what, a Tejano song was always playing. My favorite artists are Mazz, La Mafia and La Differenzia.
I co-host a show with Jalapeno in the mornings called "Jalapeno & Company". I am also a sales executive. I truly have been blessed with my job. I have made many good friends. And, I have met Tejano stars that in a million years I never would have thought to even be able to shake their hand,let alone give them a hug! I would also like to say please support all the up and coming Tejano artists and our advertisers. Without them,we wouldn't be here!! And thanks for making Tejano KJTZ the Dominate Hispanic Station!!
